Renovated Brentwood Kitchen! To really get to know a Builder you must go beyond viewing online galleries, reading their promotional materials or having a quick conversation at a tradeshow booth; you need to have meaningful conversations with the staff and trades in their environment and see the craftsmanship up front and centre! Whether you are just in the dreaming phases, or have detailed questions about your own project you are considering, or you are a valued past Pinnacle Client wanting to support the Pinnacle community, our Renovation Tours are not to be missed! We are committed to being a leader in transparency and accessibility and hope you will join us as we open the doors to two phenomenal Client family projects in the established communities of Varsity and Brentwood in June!

Initially on June 8th, we will showcase a luxury estate home main floor Renovation of an exquisite two storey walkout, backing on to the Silver Springs golf course. This Client Family desired an open concept kitchen and living area that provided functionality and supported their love of cooking international dishes, requiring substantial and accessible storage space for spices.  As well, they wanted to open up the site lines to the golf course and back yard pool. The master ensuite was also updated and changed to a walk-in shower. It was imperative to this Client that areas of the home not being Renovated were protected and kept clean. The result is a phenomenal high-end home transformation that captures the impressive outdoor views and allows the Client to flourish and thoroughly enjoy and utilize their living space.

When: Saturday June 8th, 2013

Time: 10am – 4pm

Where: 646 Varsity Estates Cres NW

On June 22nd, we will feature a Renovation of a Client family home that came about unfortunately because of a family illness that required the home owners to move from their beloved farm home to the city into what was previously their rental property. This Renovation was a very emotional journey for this family; it was imperative that the home transformation capture distinct elements of the farm home that was so near and dear to their hearts. They wanted to create a true sense of comfort reminiscent of their previous home, since the move was a matter of life circumstances versus choice.  This Client expressed that they were attracted to Pinnacle’s process assuredness, guaranteed timelines, full service business model and personal approach, which was necessary to successfully facilitate a Renovation under these circumstances. This project included a complete gut of the main floor, with added square footage to support reconfigured traffic lines and improve curb appeal aesthetics. The result is the transformation of a dated 1200 square foot bungalow main floor that is now a comfortable, tasteful and cozy haven.

When: Saturday June 22nd, 2013

Time: 10am – 4pm

Where: 3504 Bulyea Crescent NW

Come and see the detailed design choices in the spectacular finishes that exude pride of ownership and perfectly complement each family’s unique needs and while you are there – enter to win an iPad Mini!

Here are some more specifics about this incredible project:

Project Overview

Pride of ownership has always been important to these Homeowners. Although they invested considerable effort in maintaining their beautiful family home throughout the years, it had become increasingly apparent that they needed to increase the square footage of the home to accommodate the needs of their growing family of 3 sons. They had a desire to redefine the space to support the changing needs of their family for years to come and truly make it feel like home. Every design choice in this 3200 sq. ft. home was crafted to perfectly compliment this Client family.

Kitchen After

Criteria

  • Increase the square footage and reconfigure traffic lines.
  • Create an open-concept Kitchen and Great Room.
  • Modify the floor plan to include a larger scale Master Bedroom & Ensuite.
  • Design an expansive laundry room and mud room.
  • Bring aged home up to current code.
  • Incorporate a design style featuring contemporary finishes.
  • Determine design choices that reflect the Client’s desire to maximize their ROL (Return on Lifestyle); creating spaces that allow the family to flourish for many years to come and ensures their home is their favourite place to be.

Master Bedroom After

 How Was The Criteria Met?

  • Five level split, located in the exquisite community of Kelvin Grove, was gutted to the studs both on the interior and exterior, to accommodate the magnificent new Master Bedroom and Ensuite on the expanded fifth floor.
  • The single car garage was maintained at the request of the Client but the traffic lines were reconfigured, allowing for increased main floor living space. This includes a spectacular open-concept Kitchen connected to the Great Room and a much larger laundry room and mud room.
  • The home has been brought up to current code which included the installation of larger windows, spray foam insulation, an updated HVAC system, a new electric hot water tank, new water lines, upgraded electrical services from 100amp to 200 amp and all new smart and audio wiring.
  • Spectacular contemporary finishes are throughout the home including glass walls and countertops.
  • Return On Lifestyle achieved!

It has been a busy summer season bringing you 3 Pinnacle Project Tours! The first one was in June showcasing  a Coach Hill Executive bungalow whole home Renovation. Following this we opened the doors for our Preboard Tours in July and August of projects in progress in the communities of Kelvin Grove & Bearspaw. If you haven’t had a chance to visit these projects in person, we thought we would share them with you here on our blog!

The following video highlights our June Reno Tour project that was gutted to the studs to accommodate two newly positioned vaulted ceilings in both the Kitchen and Master Suite, and a complete floor plan makeover on both levels.

Main floor transformations included removing one Bedroom to allow for a Main Floor Office, facilitating a spectacular open-concept Kitchen connected to the fireside Great Room; and modifying the floor plan to include a stunning Ensuite.

The lower level features a dedicated Theatre Space, Fitness/Dance Studio, Art Studio, Guest Suite and more to support the Homeowner’s personal interests.

You can also see how using a shading lacquer technique, the dated oak millwork (used extensively throughout the home) was preserved and revitalized.

The transitional sleek design featuring a neutral colour palette was chosen to compliment the Homeowner’s eclectic collection of art and furniture from around the world.

Check back to our blog regularly to see footage of additional Pinnacle projects as well as for announcements regarding our upcoming project tours.

Thank-you to all of you who recently attended our Renovation Tour on Saturday June 16th, 2012 in Coach Hill. We had a great turn out and as always it is great to visit with past Customers and meet new faces as well! A big congratulations to Grace Liang, Winner of our Ipad Contest!

For those of you who don’t know – we also have a tremendous opportunity to view a Virtual Tour of some of our past projects. We created this tool so you could visit 3 Pinnacle Estate Home Projects from the comfort of your own home! Click here to view this Virtual Tour. You can look forward to seeing:

  •  A country cottage style custom built estate acreage home encompassing over 5,500 SF of developed floor space.
  • A European influenced design of a two storey complete home renovation.
  • A second generation walk-out bungalow, backing onto an exquisite golf course requiring a complete “gut to the studs” makeover with every wall relocated.

In addition to this – we are also opening our doors to a Pinnacle project in progress on Saturday July 14th in the community of Kelvin Grove. This is an incredible opportunity to see what’s behind the walls in a home and is something that is rarely offered to public viewers. We call these tours Pre-board Tours. Pre-board means the home is completed up to the installation of the drywall.

Showcasing our projects in progress is essential because it provides insight into Pinnacle’s attention to detail and concern with every aspect of the project. For us, it is not just about the finished aesthetics; it is about the entire functioning of the home. Attendees of these tours are blown away as they cannot believe the level of craftsmanship and the intricacies of the decisions that are incorporated at this point in the build process that significantly affect the entire home.

Thanks to our incredible Client Family, we will also be opening the doors to this same project when the Renovation is completed.

Stay tuned to our website, blog and Facebook to find out more details about this upcoming Pre-Board Tour and the address in the coming week.

Last week we showed you the "Before" photo of the Kitchen for this project. This week we bring you the "After". However, this is not a photo - it is our 3D Rendering!

This coming Saturday June 16th, 2012 we will be hosting another phenomenal Renovation Tour of an executive whole home Renovation project in the community of Coach Hill.

Join us on Saturday from 10am-4pm  to see the results of this phenomenal whole home Renovation.

For a detailed case study overview of this transformation project - read below. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!

Project Overview

After travelling and living abroad for many years, the Homeowners had a desire to retire in the estate community of Coach Hill and had always considered Calgary their “home base”.  Having their chosen profession surrounding international Oil and Gas infrastructure; they did not want to adjust to yet another home and neighborhood; this influenced their decision to Renovate their existing property to accommodate their changing lifestyle needs. Every design choice in this 4,000 total sq. ft. home was crafted to perfectly compliment this Client family.

Criteria

  • Create the illusion of a larger space in the Kitchen & Master Suite.
  • Create an open-concept Kitchen.
  • Modify the floor plan to include a larger scale Ensuite and Main Floor Office.
  • Design spaces that would accommodate the Homeowners personal interests.
  • Revitalize the dated oak millwork.
  • Incorporate a design style featuring international art and furniture.

 How Was The Criteria Met?

  • This phenomenal Executive Bungalow, located in the prominent community of Coach Hill, was gutted to the studs to accommodate two newly positioned vaulted ceilings in both the Kitchen and Master Suite, and a complete floor plan makeover on both levels.
  • Main floor transformations included removing one Bedroom to allow for a Main Floor Office, facilitating a spectacular open-concept Kitchen connected to the fireside Great Room; and modifying the floor plan to include a stunning Ensuite.
  • The lower level features a dedicated Theatre Space, Fitness/Dance Studio, Art Studio, Guest Suite and more to support the Homeowner’s personal interests.
  • Using a shading lacquer technique, the dated oak millwork (used extensively throughout the home) was preserved and revitalized.
  • A transitional sleek design featuring a neutral colour palette was chosen to compliment the Homeowner’s eclectic collection of art and furniture from around the world.
