SAM Win Cements Pinnacle as Top Choice for Calgary Kitchen Renovations
Calgary, Alberta (April 4, 2014) – Pinnacle Group, a highly regarded builder of kitchen renovations from Calgary, was recently honored with a SAM Award by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) – Calgary Region. On March 29th, 2014, Paul and Elaine Klassen, the founders of Pinnacle Group, along with eight other members of their team, received the award for Best Kitchen Renovation – $90,000 and over at a gala celebration held at the Telus Convention Centre.
Now in its 27th year, the Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards celebrates the best that the Calgary home building industry has to offer. Residential designers, builders, developers, and marketers compete for 57 awards in 10 different categories to find the best-of-the-best among them and win a chance to bring home the coveted silver goose.
This year, 776 entries were submitted by CHBA – Calgary Region members, including Pinnacle Group. Five of their entries were chosen as finalists for Best Home Renovation (with Addition), Best Bathroom/Ensuite Renovation, and Best Kitchen Renovation – $90,000 and over.
The company’s Bearspaw Renovation won the SAM Award for Best Kitchen Renovation – $90,000 and over. The kitchen renovation, which was part of a larger, whole-home renovation project, featured a non-pretentious but elegant transitional design. The criteria for the renovation included creating an open concept kitchen that supports functional everyday use and entertaining. As well, the client wished to increase the available prep area, cabinetry storage and seating. Integrating the exterior acreage site lines and increasing the natural light transfer in the kitchen was also a priority.
The complete reconfiguration of the floor plan allowed for the newly located kitchen; this modified placement took into consideration the relationship between adjacent rooms, essentially shortening the traffic flow from the garage, making the family’s grocery commute more efficient. The kitchen features a stylish stained maple island with a painted perimeter, highlighted by 3 vintage pendant lights; the custom white cabinetry completes the crisp transitional design. The dining nook designed to feature a higher ceiling and unique accent ceiling tray, compliments the light fixture purchased by the client 3 years prior to the renovation. This inviting custom kitchen is now the hub for family gatherings and entertaining.
