At Pinnacle Group we are dedicated to being an innovative leader in the renovation industry and we believe that in order to be successful at this, it requires one to be a life long learner and embrace professional development opportunities.
An example of this was our recent attendance at the CHBA (Canada Home Builder’s Association) National Conference in Victoria, BC. Not only did this 3 day event provide great insight on the shape of the Canadian economy and its impact on the housing industry, presented by Don Drummond, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist with the TD Bank Financial Group, but it also proved to be highly entertaining! We thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday Cruise Ship Theme Night that allowed us the casual opportunity of meeting many of those revered in the industry including Donna Moore, president of the CHBA Calgary Region who we had the pleasure of sitting with.
We also gathered some great advice from Don Bell, founder of West Jet, a charismatic, powerful speaker who spoke on developing a winning corporate culture. We believe whole heartedly that Pinnacle’s success continues to rest on creating a positive Pinnacle culture that supports our fabulous team of loyal trades, suppliers and employees who we are truly grateful for.
Terry O’Reilly, CBC’s Age of Persuasion host, was another fabulous keynote speaker, providing a current look at advertising and marketing trends and offering some great marketing direction which we will definitely benefit from!
While on the island, we took the opportunity to drive from Victoria to Nanaimo B.C. to visit the office of Hawthorne Corner, the National SAM Award winner for Best Marketing Program and Best Sales Center. We were honored to personally congratulate them on their awards and enjoyed the royal tour of their development and sales office!
All in all it was a worthwhile week spent in beautiful Victoria, educating ourselves so we can continue to provide the best possible customer experience!
